Weekly Tarot Reading: January 8-14, 2017

Hi Love Bugs!

I apologize for the delay in the weekly reading. Yesterday was a void of course moon until 5:06pm so I of course didn't get much done. I also wanted to let you know that this week's reading will be a little different from the readings that I have been doing in the past. This reading will be using the Thoth Tarot Deck again, AND I will be pulling a card for every day of the week vs my traditional 4 card pull that I usually do. So lets see what this week has in store for us!

So instead of pulling a card for Sunday, because that day has passed, I pulled a theme of the week. This week is going to be about EMOTIONAL FORTITUDE as seen by the Ace of Cups. Now that Mercury has gone direct this week will be a time of processing the downloads that you received during the time of the retrograde. This is a good week to sit with how you feel about what was revealed to you during Mercury Rx. This will be the time to process those feelings and create a plan for moving forward. Your emotional cup may feel full. Be sure to find healthy ways to express how you are feeling. Self-care will be of great importance this week.

Monday's theme is the Seven of Cups. Today will be a day of emotional detox. Today you may feel like your emotional cup is overflowing. Don't fight this overflow. This is the outpouring of good feelings about what you've discovered about yourself during the Rx washing away the feelings of doubt and fear. Today will be all about getting excited about your dreams coming true. It will be about separating your dreams from your fears and allowing those dreams to remove the fears from your life completely. You may feel an overwhelming sense of joy and happiness about what is in store for you. Take time to celebrate all that is on the horizon. Dance, sing, create, do whatever it is you do to express your happiness. That is your self-care for today.

Tuesday's theme is the Four of Cups. Tuesday will be a day of reflection. Your cups have been cleansed by Monday's emotional detox, and now a light is being shone on them to see what remains. Take time to reflect on your emotions today. Use the day as an emotional wellness check-up. What emotions are being highlight for you today? What are these emotions asking of you? Remember this day is not about a day of action but a day of reflection. So, don't actually DO what your emotions are asking. Instead take the time to create a plan of action.

The Empress comes to us on Wednesday asking us to take the day to express our feelings of love and gratitude. Wednesday will be a great day to practice self-love. With Venus in watery Pisces your ability to have compassion will be great. Have compassion not only for others but for yourself. Take this time to forgive yourself and others. As forgiveness is not about the person, but allowing yourself to move past the transgression and get on with life. As the Empress has done in this card, let your guard down. No need for defenses right now. Allow the love of Venus to flow freely into and through you.

On Thursday we will finally move out of our emotions and began to ground ourselves. This is seen by the the Ace of Disks. As we come back to the ground and plant ourselves in fertile soil, we have to remember that there are two sides to every coin. The question is which side of your coin landed in the earth? Make sure as you're grounding yourself today that you're planting the things in your life that you wish to see grow. The Ace of Disks symbolizes a fertile time for earthly matters such as money, property, and achievement. What exactly are you trying to manifest in those areas? Today is the day to plant those seeds.

The Death card presents itself on Friday t let us know that the reaper is here to assist us with the seeds that we have planted. He has come with his scythe to till the ground and remove the weeds to ensure that the seeds you have planted aren't choked out by them. He is also here to take any left over negative emotions that may have not been washed out of the cups earlier this week. Consider Friday as the day that the cleaning service is coming to clean house for you. You have done all of the light cleaning, but the reaper is coming to do a deep clean!

Finally on Saturday we end the week with the Two of Swords. The reaper has come through and cleaned house for you and now you have a clearer insight into your next steps. With this insight come a sense of peace. Everything is finally clear and you know what direction you have to do in. You know what decisions have to be made. The question is do you have the courage to take the first step? Are you going to actually make the decision? The swords are the weapons of the Spirit, and now you have two of them Take these weapons and use them as needed as you make the decision that you know is best for you and follow the direction that you are being lead in.
